Am I being recorded?

Yes. Audio and an interview transcript are recorded so the hiring team can review your answers. You will see this stated in the consent screen before the interview begins.

Is the AI judging me unfairly?

GAIA scores against the rubric the employer defined. The same questions and the same rubric are applied to every candidate, which is more consistent than a panel of busy human interviewers. You also have the right to request human review.

Can I redo a question if I lose my train of thought?

Yes — many templates allow you to ask GAIA to repeat or rephrase a question. Some templates also allow one full restart. The candidate-side notice will tell you what is allowed for that role.

What if my microphone fails mid-interview?

If GAIA cannot hear you for an extended pause, the system pauses and shows a reconnect prompt. Once the mic is working again you can resume from the same question.

How long is my interview data kept?

Default retention is 12 months unless your employer set a different period. You can request deletion at any time via our candidate notice page.

Is GAIA judging my accent or background noise?

No. The rubric scores answers, not voice features. Background noise and accent affect transcription quality but not the rubric score.

You can ask the employer for a human interview alternative. Under the EU AI Act, deployers must provide a path to human review for consequential decisions.
