Your rights as a candidate
Last updated: 2026-04-15
You are being invited to an AI-assisted interview with GAIA, Intrvio's conversational AI. This page explains, in plain language, what happens with your data, what rights you have, and how to reach a human. If anything here is unclear, email hello@intrvio.com before starting.
Your rights at a glance
What Intrvio does
Intrvio runs a structured voice interview with GAIA. GAIA asks questions, listens to your answers, and produces a transcript and a set of competency scores. A human reviewer at the employer uses this as input — not as a final decision.
What we record
- Voice (audio of your answers).
- Video for proctoring integrity only — face presence and environment checks. We do not run emotion inference on your video.
- A written transcript of the conversation.
- Competency scores and short summaries derived from your answers.
AI transparency
Under the EU AI Act (Art. 26(11)) and New York City Local Law 144, you have the right to know when an AI system is evaluating you. Intrvio is an AI system. GAIA is not a human. A human reviewer at the employer sees the output before any final hiring decision is made.
Your rights
- Right to request human review of any AI-assisted outcome (GDPR Art. 22).
- Right to access the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to deletion after the recruitment process concludes.
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time — withdrawal does not affect processing already completed.
- Right to object to profiling based on your interview data.
How your data is handled
- Stored for 180 days by default. The employer may configure a shorter retention window.
- Not used to train AI models. Your interview data does not feed GAIA's learning.
- Transferred under Standard Contractual Clauses where cross-border transfer is required (for example, AI inference in the US).
Alternative: non-AI interview
You have the right to request a non-AI alternative — a human-led interview or an equivalent assessment. This is especially important under NYC LL 144 and for accessibility accommodations. To request this, contact the employer's recruiter or email hello@intrvio.com; we will forward your request and support it.
EU Representative
We are currently in the process of appointing an EU Representative under GDPR Art. 27. In the interim, EU candidates may contact us directly at hello@intrvio.com. This section will be updated once the appointment is finalised.
Email hello@intrvio.com for any question about this notice, your data, or your rights. We aim to respond within 30 days.
